Yoga is a journey. From the moment you consider practicing for the very first time, you have created a possibility of new experiences. Courage brings you to the mat. Trust guides you safely through a practice. When you continue to practice yoga whether off or on the mat, you nurture your mind, body, and soul. Yoga creates the space where we can look within ourselves and recognize what truly grounds us—what connects us to one another and everything that is. Yoga is a journey because it is a study of the self. Modern day life can sometimes shift our focus to the material and external world that we neglect the energy and fire within us that is our true selves.
Yoga helps us gain control over our thoughts and helps let go of unnecessary and inhibiting perceptions. Meditation helps fight depression, anxiety, stress, our ability to focus on the present moment, among other healthy benefits. Through asanas, or poses, we heal the body, align our energy, and strengthen not only our body but our mind and spirit too. Yoga is a journey. Yoga is for all.
"If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly, our whole life would change."
